Workshops
BCT offers a range of workshops ranging from acting to producing throughout the year. These are open to non-members of BCT for a small entry fee, which makes them a great way to find out more if you’re thinking about joining us. BCT Members are eligible for a discount on all workshops.
Membership
Whether you love being on stage, behind the scenes or in the audience, BCT is for you. English doesn’t have to be your first language, and you’re welcome whatever your level of experience. As a member you’re encouraged to take part in BCT shows and activities however you like, even if that’s just to meet new friends.
BCT Shorts – Behind the Scenes with “The News Broadcast”
One of the characters in The News Broadcast is a smoker. The actor isn’t. Fortunately, the character doesn’t actually smoke on screen, but the actor needs a cigarette as a prop.
Her children were horrified to see Mummy with a cigarette in her mouth. There was much criticism and condemnation until the circumstances were explained.
The actor is delighted her children are so strongly opposed to tobacco use. She’s also pleased that it completely took the kids’ attention away from the fact that they overheard “bad language” in the script.
