BCT's Online Play Reading of "Not Now Darling" @ Online | Bangkok | Thailand

Bangkok Community Theatre holds regular weekday evening online play readings at 7:30pm. Each week we choose a new script and share it with the participants in advance. Then we get together and read the play aloud on zoom, regularly switching up the roles so that everyone gets a chance to read, if they wish. Some BCT friends don’t want to read; they just like to listen. That’s okay, too.
These play readings are open to anyone who wants to join age 16+! Just email: RSVP@bangkokcommunitytheatre.com to get the link. It’s free and a great way to meet some other people who enjoy live theatre and to practice your performing skills as well.. Please join us; tell your friends.
On Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 7:30pm (7:15 sign in), please join us to read Ray Cooney’s 60’s farce “Not Now Darling.”

ABOUT THE PLAY
Not Now, Darling is a 1967 farce written by English playwrights John Chapman and Ray Cooney, first staged at the Richmond Theatre, in Richmond, England prior to a long West End run.

SYNOPSIS
In a London fur salon, Arnold Crouch, one of the two owners, has difficulty keeping everything going afloat, while his partner, Gilbert Bodley, is off philandering. Bodley decides to sell his new mistress’ husband a fur coat for an extremely low price in order to win her affection, and Crouch is stuck presiding over the deal. The husband decides to give the coat to his own mistress, and all hell breaks out. In the end, despite mistaken identities and all sorts of problems, everything turns out as it should.
