Snow White is now cast.
We had a good turn out at the auditions with 40 people wanting to be in the show. Sadly, with a small stage at Creative Industries it was just not possible to cast everyone, but a big thanks to everyone who came along. Everybody did a great audition and it was very difficult deciding who was in and who was not.
Because of the numbers auditioning we ended up with more than our set quota of dwarfs We now call the show Snow White and the 7/11 Dwarfs (Joking!), but you can guess how many dwarfs we now have protecting Snow White in the forest; safety in numbers.
The last couple of weeks we have been blocking the show. Bonnie has been working hard on costumes and it’s amazing how many are ready. Take a look at our lovely Snow White and those strange people that hang about in the forest.
We’ve also started our musical rehearsals, led by our maestro Tony. Tony was MD on Cinderella and Aladdin so we can be sure of a great sound.
Tickets will be going on sale soon, so book early to avoid disappointment. The afternoon shows usually sell out very quickly.
Although the rehearsals are progressing well there is a lot of work to be done to get the show ready. In particular we need people to help us make 200 fabric covered plastic apples. There are lots of other areas where we need help. If you have some free time, please come forward and volunteer your services.
Thanks for your support!
